What FIXR is

FIXR is a platform that allows homeowners in Australia to post home-service jobs and receive offers from tradespeople ("tradies"). The platform handles matching, in-platform messaging, and payment processing through Stripe. The legal nature of the relationship between users and tradies is governed by the agreements they form directly between themselves; this document covers your use of the FIXR platform itself.

Service Status & Modifications

FIXR is currently in pre-commercial testing. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Features may change or be removed without notice.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or feature continuity during this beta phase.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Australia to use FIXR. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use FIXR for any illegal, fraudulent, or abusive purpose. Specifically, you agree not to: misrepresent your identity or business credentials; attempt to bypass platform payment flows by arranging off-platform payments with the intention of avoiding fees; harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users; post or share content (including messages, photos, and reviews) that is offensive, unlawful, or infringes the rights of others; or attempt to interfere with the technical operation of the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Payments

All payments on FIXR are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms of service. FIXR retains a commission on customer payments and charges tradies a lead fee on each completed job. Refunds, where applicable, are processed through our support channel and follow the rules described in our refund procedure (contact info@fixrapp.com.au for details).

Payment disputes between customers and tradies should first be raised through the in-app support channels before escalating to chargebacks.

Account termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at info@fixrapp.com.au. We may close, suspend, or restrict access to accounts that violate these terms or where required by law.

Closure does not waive any payment obligations or liabilities incurred before closure.
